Unfortunately, messages sent from WAY-Plan can be detected as spam, as can all messages sent from software other than email software (Outlook or your webmail).
A number of factors are involved in ensuring that messages sent from WAY-Plan are sent and received correctly:
- The anti-spam rules put in place by email services (Office, Gmail, OVH, etc.) and their constant updates.
- The reputation of your e-mail address
- The settings on your email address
- The content of messages sent
- The reputation of the WAYNIUM mail server, impacted by messages sent by our teams and also by your teams
- WAYNIUM mail server settings
- Technical changes to mail servers
- ...
All this forms a tangle of parameters that we have to decipher each time we receive a report of an email sending/receiving problem.
1- Check that your e-mail addresses are properly configured
Authenticating messages sent by WAY-Plan is essential.
Without it, if your customers, drivers or partners have problems receiving messages, our technical teams will be unable to find a solution.
To check what chance emails sent from WAY-Plan have of being properly received by the recipient, we advise you to use the services of https://www.mail-tester.com/ to carry out a test send. This is the tool we also use, as it analyses the quality of the message sent and the email address settings.
- Open https://www.mail-tester.com/
- Copy the address given on the home page of the site
- In WAY-Plan, go to a folder and select "Send an email" on the right.
- Once in the form for sending the message, paste the address given by Mailtester into the recipient's address and send the message.
- Return to the Mailtester site to see the results.
If you score 9/10 or 10/10 in the Mailtester, please send us the link to your result when you send your messages to support@waynium.com.
2- Configuring your email addresses
If the Mailtester shows that your messages are not perfectly authenticated, here are the procedures to follow.
1- If you use a personalized domain name, for example : @waynium.com
If you are using a personalized domain name, for example: xxx@waynium.com, you will need to set the DMARC, SPF and DKIM settings in your domain name provider's interface.
DMARC settings to be made :
The DMARC setting tells the servers that will receive your e-mails how they should handle e-mails that do not come from servers authorized by SPF & DKIM.
If you want e-mails to be received even if your identity has been stolen
(recommended setting)
v=DMARC1; p=none; pct=0;
If you want emails received to be sent to the spam folder
v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; pct=0;
If you want the emails to be received deleted
v=DMARC1; p=reject; pct=0;
If you would like to be notified when your emails are considered spam, you can add an additional "rua" parameter, specifying the email address to which you would like to receive the spam or deletion notifications.
v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; pct=0; rua=mailto:CUSTOMER@for.example.com

SPF settings to be made :
If your settings look like this or something similar:
v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com -all
Then modify it as follows:
v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com include:spf.waynium.com -all
DKIM settings to be made : Add 2 CNAME records

If you use a service provider to manage your domain name, you can forward this procedure to your service provider.
When everything is operational, please confirm by return email that you have completed the configuration. To ensure that the optimisation of mailings by this method is 100% effective, we also need to set the parameters ourselves.
To check what chance emails sent from WAY-Plan have of being received by the recipient, we advise you to use the services of https://www.mail-tester.com/ to carry out a test send.
