What is the Chiron option for?

Available starting in November 2024, this integration allows you to connect WAY-Plan with the Chiron software provided by the Flemish authorities.

The Flemish authorities require relevant companies to submit their transport assignments to Chiron in order to facilitate vehicle checks on public roads.

Concretely, assignments operated by vehicles with fewer than 9 seats are sent to the Chiron platform:

• at status 6

• at status 7

• at status 9

How to configure the option?

We need your Chiron credentials:

• Your Client ID

• Your Client Secret OF

“The Chiron API is secured by access credentials (Client ID and Secret OF JWKS).
The request can only be made by the legal representative of the company, via the Chiron portal, using their e-ID or Itsme®.”

In order for an assignment to be sent to Chiron, several criteria must be met.

Here is a non-exhaustive list of mandatory conditions for sending:

• At least one of the locations of the assignment must be geolocated within Belgian territory (latitude/longitude filled in on the location)

• The license number must be filled in on the driver’s profile assigned to the assignment

• The KBO number must be filled in on the partner’s profile assigned to the assignment

• The vehicle capacity must be fewer than 9 seats

We send each assignment at 3 key moments:
upon booking, in addition to departure and arrival, as this appears necessary.

To summarize:

• Change to status 6 Chauffeur OK: Chiron equivalent = “Reservation”

• Change to status 7 Mission started: “Departure”

• Change to status 9 Mission completed: “Arrival”

You must go through 5 test submissions before switching to production mode. A new key will then be provided by Chiron.

Subscription conditions for the option:

• Setup and configuration: €290 excl. VAT

• Maintenance and specific support: €30 excl. VAT /month added to your license

To activate this option, please contact support. A formal quote will be provided to confirm the setup.

The estimated setup time for the Chiron connection is about 1 week after subscription.
We will send you the procedure to follow in order to create a technical ID on your Chiron platform.
