What is the API Link option for?
The communication possibilities between WAY-Plan and external software are extensive: sending data, setting up callbacks….
The API is commonly used to connect the WAY-Plan solution with external tools for the following purposes:
- Receiving bookings from a booking system (external software or website)
- Enquiring about the progress of bookings linked to a customer account: booking statuses or the transmission of drivers’ positions
- Sending automatic booking pricing
What are the steps involved in setting up the API?
The steps involved in setting up the API are as follows:

- Detailed description of the functional requirements by you: why do you wish to use the API? What is the ultimate objective in WAY-Plan? See the questionnaire below, to be returned to support@waynium.com
- Validation of the project by the WAYNIUM technical team
- Signing of an agreement approving the API terms of use
- Approval of the quotation “API setup and delivery of an API key”
- Meeting between the technical teams
- Technical support for developers
Option terms:
- Activation of the API key, a WAY-Plan test account and technical assistance with configuration: from €1,650 excl. VAT per connection project.
- Maintenance and dedicated support: €50 excl. VAT/month added to your licence, including 10,000 calls per month.
* Our technical team can answer questions from the developers you have selected to develop the link, but cannot develop it themselves, as our schedules do not allow this. If you would like to consult one of our partner developers about your project, we can provide you with their contact details.
Reminder of the Terms of Use applicable from 1 January 2026
5.1.3. Provision of APIs
5.1.3.1. Access to the APIs
Access to WAYNIUM’s APIs is subject to a prior authorisation request for each new functional requirement identified. The Client must submit an authorisation request detailing the functional requirement, which will be assessed by WAYNIUM according to technical and functional criteria.
Each authorisation request will be subject to a functional and technical assessment by WAYNIUM, which reserves the right to reject any request that does not meet the technical viability criteria or that competes with the functionalities offered by WAYNIUM.
5.1.3.2. Use of the APIs
WAYNIUM’s APIs enable the integration of different services, the automation of processes between applications and the smooth and secure exchange of data. They facilitate interoperability between systems, enabling Clients to take advantage of the capabilities of WAYNIUM software to improve their efficiency and reduce operating costs.
Clients are authorised to use the APIs only for the functional requirements approved by WAYNIUM. Any unauthorised use, modification or misuse of the APIs, particularly to compete with the functionalities offered by WAYNIUM, is strictly prohibited and may result in suspension of access to the APIs and legal proceedings.
Clients must ensure the security of API keys and immediately inform WAYNIUM in the event of loss or compromise.
5.1.3.3. Pricing
Installation fees for each approved authorisation request will be defined in the order form signed with the Client. These fees cover analysis of the Client’s requirements and support through to the production launch of the relevant API function.
A monthly fee of €50 excluding VAT per contracted solution will be applied, including a primary allowance of 100,000 calls per month. Each additional tranche of 2,000 calls will be charged at €1 excluding VAT per month. The price indicated here applies unless otherwise stipulated in the order form signed with the Client.
