Proforma invoice: unable to download the PDF document

You have attempted to download the proforma invoice for your file and encountered an application error message.

How can you correct this error to download your proforma invoice?

The most common reason for this error is that your file contains too many assignments for the PDF template configured for the file.

To find out the number of assignments in a file, click on the magnifying glass icon at the top of the file header:

In the above case, with the detailed invoice template C1 configured by default, the programme would generate a PDF of over 80 pages... too heavy for the server and illogical to send to the customer.
 

We recommend that you modify the template to choose a less detailed template by clicking on the ‘Manage invoice’ button on the right-hand side of your file.

Less detailed or non-detailed invoice templates are:

• display of one rate line per assignment, but less detailed than on C1: C2, C10, C11
• grouping by identical routes and rates: C3, C4
• grouping by VAT rate: C5, C7

How can I permanently change the default proforma and invoice template?

The most common template is PDF C1, which is the default invoice template for all your invoices.

To change the invoice template for a customer, modify the default template in their customer file.

To change the default template for all your invoices, contact support by email at support@waynium.com to configure the settings. The change will be applied to your future files.
